Origins
At Farinera Coromina we believe in a high quality, artisan and healthy bread. Deep in the 21st century, we believe nutrition must be based in 3 fundamental pillars: quality, health and respect for the environment. Only this way we can ensure that our children will grow like they deserve to and we leave a better planet for them.
Founded in 1897, Farinera Coromina stands out for its family character, innovation spirit and willingness to constantly improve. Since 2013, Luis Coromina Unzueta, 5th generation of the founding family, leads the company with the aim to maintain the focus on the client, consolidating the firm as the top reference flour mill and partner for the best bakers.
The main values of the company are team work, communication and commitment with the environment.
Quality
We source local wheat only, selecting the best varieties and controlling all the value chain to ensure the maximum quality, encouraging the most sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural practices. In addition to that, thanks to the agreement with our own electricity supplier, Agrienergia, all the energy used in our mill comes exclusively from renewable sources.


Innovation
With a highly trained and professional team, we not only offer high-quality flours but also technical advice to our clients. In our Can Trull Bakery we design and execute our innovation strategy and carry out our training sessions for artisan bakers, which have become a reference nationwide. Nowadays more than 1.000 professionals have enjoyed our training sessions, learning and mastering the use of our flours and high-quality baking techniques
As a recognition to our innovation efforts in launching new products every year, we were awarded the PITA prize 2016 from the Catalan Government for our Garrotxa flour.
